Khajuraho - a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Central India, is celebrated for its stunning temples and archaeological significance. Known for their intricately carved sculptures, often referred to as "erotic" temples, these structures are a testament to ancient artistry. Originally, Khajuraho boasted 85 temples, most constructed from durable river sandstone. Today, around 20 temples remain well-preserved, attracting tourists and history enthusiasts from around the world.

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi and Transfer to Agra

Upon your arrival in Delhi, our representative will greet you and assist with your transfer to Agra in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle, a journey of approximately 5 hours. Spend your evening at leisure, relaxing at your hotel. Overnight in Agra at The Retreat. Meals: Meals are payable directly today.

Day 2: Agra Sightseeing and Overnight Train to Katni

Start your day with a visit to the world-famous Taj Mahal at sunrise. This iconic masterpiece, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, is renowned for its stunning white marble architecture. After breakfast, explore the magnificent Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located along the Yamuna River. This impressive fort showcases a blend of red sandstone and white marble architecture and holds a rich history of the Mughal era. Later, you will be transferred to the Agra train station to board the Mahakoshal Express Train in a 2nd class A/C sleeper carriage, departing at 19:18 hours for Katni. Overnight on the train. Day 3: Arrival in Katni and Transfer to Bandhavgarh

Arrive at Katni Train Station at approximately 07:05 hrs, where you will meet your driver for the transfer to Bandhavgarh National Park. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and enjoy an afternoon jeep safari in the park. Bandhavgarh National Park is renowned for its diverse wildlife and is one of India's most popular tiger reserves, offering excellent opportunities to spot the majestic Royal Bengal Tigers and other wildlife. Overnight at Nature Heritage Resort. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the resort.

Day 4: Bandhavgarh National Park Safaris

Enjoy morning and afternoon jeep safaris inside Bandhavgarh National Park. With its lush forests and rich biodiversity, the park is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers alike. Look out for tigers, leopards, deer, and various bird species as you explore the park's stunning landscapes. Overnight at Nature Heritage Resort. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the resort

Day 5: More Safaris in Bandhavgarh National Park

Continue your wildlife adventure with another day of morning and afternoon jeep safaris in Bandhavgarh National Park. Capture memorable moments of wildlife encounters and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the park. Overnight at Nature Heritage Resort. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the resort.

Day 6: Bandhavgarh to Khajuraho

After a morning jeep safari, enjoy lunch at the resort before being driven approximately 5.5 hours to Khajuraho. Check in at your hotel upon arrival and relax for the evening. Khajuraho is famed for its ancient temples adorned with intricate sculptures depicting various aspects of life and spirituality. These UNESCO World Heritage Sites are an architectural marvel and a testament to India's rich cultural heritage. Overnight at Syna Heritage Hotel, Khajuraho. Meals: Breakfast and lunch (or packed lunch) from Bandhavgarh. Evening meal is payable directly.

Day 7: Khajuraho Temple Tour

Following breakfast, embark on a half-day tour of the Eastern and Western Group of Khajuraho Temples with a knowledgeable local guide. Discover the intricate carvings and sculptures that make these temples a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the afternoon, explore Khajuraho at your leisure, visiting local markets and attractions. Day 7: Khajuraho Temple Tour

After breakfast, travel to the medieval city of Orchha (approximately 4 hours), renowned for its palaces, temples, and cenotaphs from the Bundela Dynasty. Visit the impressive Jahangir Mahal Palace with entrance fees and a local guide included. From Orchha, drive to Jhansi and board the A/C Shatabdi Express Train to Delhi at 18:30 hrs. Enjoy an Indian meal served onboard during the journey. Overnight in Delhi at the Hotel Red Fox, Aerocity. Meals: Breakfast at the hotel and an evening meal on the train.

Day 9: Departure from Delhi

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before being transferred to Delhi International Airport for your onward journey. If your flight departs in the evening, we can provide a supplement for a car and driver to explore Delhi at your leisure. Meals: Breakfast at the hotel.
